Before New Life Spaces, it was nothing more than an unfinished storage attic with exposed rafters, insulation, and old plank floors. David saw the potential immediately and sketched out a vision we never would have imagined ourselves.

The finished space is absolutely beautiful. The vaulted shiplap ceiling, exposed wood beam, skylights, floating shelves with integrated lighting, custom window seat, and thoughtful use of every inch completely transformed the room. What was once dark and forgotten is now bright, peaceful, and feels like it was always meant to be part of our home.

David led the design process and had an incredible eye for balancing warmth, functionality, and aesthetics. He listened to what we wanted, offered creative ideas without ever being pushy, and kept us involved throughout the project. Stephen and Jared and their teams brought that vision to life with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. Every finish feels carefully executed, and it's obvious they genuinely take pride in their work.

Beyond the quality of the renovation, what really stood out was how enjoyable they were to work with. David, Stephen, and Jared are all friendly, approachable, and respectful. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and the costs were always transparent. There were no surprises, and everything was explained clearly before decisions were made.

This project included reworking the layout, moving walls, expanding the usable footprint, and creating a dedicated sitting area with a custom bench to make the space feel intentional and comfortable. They replaced the vanity, toilet, and lighting, tiled the entire floor, repaired and finished all drywall, and completely enclosed previously exposed plumbing in the ceiling as well as adding proper access panels so everything is clean, functional, and serviceable long-term.

They also installed a new rain shower system and modernized the entire room without compromising durability. They took a close look at our home, and suggested and completed a number of accommodations that  made it possible for us to "age in place."  These included such things as adding a sub-landing step to reduce the overall riser height at the beginning of the front entrance, checking our stair treads and replacing those that were worn/cracked, installing additional banisters for extra safety,  adding a pony wall in the attic for those times when we use it for storage, replacing inadequate lighting in our kitchen, and much more.  When they finished working each day, they took the time to thoroughly sweep and clean the area, which was much appreciated. We enjoyed their work ethic and enthusiasm for the job, and are extremely pleased with the results.
